Creative England announces greenlit iFeatures at Cannes

- Creative England has greenlit three features under their iFeatures production scheme, it was announced at Cannes. The films, which were narrowed down from more than 400 applications, will receive £350,000 each in production funding through Creative England, the British Film Institute and BBC Films and mentoring from industry experts. They will go into production in the autumn.

 is written by playwright Alice Birch, will be directed by William Oldroyd, produced by Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly and tells the story of a young woman who fights to protect a fierce and irrepressible new passion. Apostasy, co-written by Charlotte Wise and Dan Kokotajlo, who will also direct, with Marcie MacLellan producing, follows a devoted Jehovah’s Witness who is forced to shun her own sister because of a religious transgression.  is written and directed by Hope Dickson Leach and produced by Rachel Robey.
