Latvia announces projects selected for co-financing scheme

- After the recent announcement of Latvia’s co-financing scheme, four projects have now been confirmed by the National Film Centre of Latvia as receiving grants. Up to 25% of eligible film related expenditure can be obtained by the successful projects as cash rebate when filming is completed.  The four projects were selected from a pool of six and the total budget of the programme is approximately € 500,000

Son
A Boheme International project in cooperation with the Amalgama Studio (Russia)
Co-financing grant – 64,150 EUR
Co-financing intensity - 20 %
Cumulated with a Riga Film Fund grant.

Heritage
A Boheme International project in cooperation with production studio Ivan (Russia)
Co-financing grant – 82,759 EUR
Co-financing intensity 20 %
Cumulated with a Riga Film Fund grant.

Refugees
A Tal Filmaproject in cooperation with the production studio Trogir Prodaksn (Russia)
Co-financing grant – 176,750 EUR
Co-financing intensity - 25 %

So Far So Good
A Film Angels Studio project in cooperation with the production studio Film United (Czech Republic)
Co-financing grant – 103,200 EUR
Co-financing intensity - 25 %
Cumulated with Riga Film Fund grant.

25 % from the total sum of the eligible costs is applied if the film story takes place in Latvia while 20% is applied if the film is shot in Latvia without identifying references but local film services are used.
