Film institutions financially supporting film production:

The amendments to the Film Law (2004), adopted on 21 November, 2011 by the Hungarian parliament, determines the Hungarian National Film Fund as the main funding institution of the national film sector. The Fund’s tasks are as follows: granting funding for the various film productions and project/script development, supervising and supporting these productions with a see through accounting system and granting marketing support.

The Law allocates 80 per cent of the no.6 national lottery revenues to the Fund for its operations. The Fund’s estimated annual budget is around 20 million EUR.

-Hungarian National Film Fund (MNF) granting full-length features, theatrical documentaries and animation films.

-Media Council of the National Media and Info-communications Authority (NMHH) granting television productions.

-National Cultural Fund (NKA) granting other film related issues (events, publications etc.)
