Music and video online, tablets, connected games: the seven last years have witnessed the rise of a mass of technologies supposed to revolutionize the Medias. While observing the consumer’s behaviour of cultural goods and services from a sample of more than 6,000 people from the four continents, Bain & Company are trying to understand in which way digital cultural uses represent nowadays so many sources of value creation – values which are cultural, social and economic at the same time. Based on the results, the survey traces five basic trends to better define the styles of cultural consumption today.
