THE PHYSICS OF WATER
synopsis
Seven-year-old Alessandro lost his father when he was very little. He lives with his mother in an old house by a lake and is troubled by frequent nightmares in which water and its various states play a major role. He feels an antipathy towards his uncle Claudio, his father’s brother, who turns up at the house unexpectedly one day, so he tampers with the brakes of the car his uncle is to use to drive into town. But, at the last minute his mother decides to go with him and Ale realises that something is going to happen. He tries running after the car, but it’s no use. The police commissioner investigating the tragic accident, during which Claudio and Ale’s mother die, quickly grasps the extent of the child’s involvement in the case. It turns out that he is not only a skilled investigator, but also a clever psychologist: thanks to the commissioner, Ale starts to understand, step by step, the real reasons for his aversion to his uncle.
