synopsis
Directed by poet and film-maker Yamina Benguigui, the film is set in 1974 when the French government introduced its policy of family resettlement. Zouina, a North African woman in her 30s, is shipped off to the bleak northern industrial town of San Quentin with her three children to be reunited with her husband, who she has not seen for 10 years.
