synopsis
When Annie Mary was sixteen she won the Eisteddfod, the most prestigious cultural festival in Wales. She was offered a scholarship to study singing in Milan, but she wasn't able to accept it because her mother was dying and her father needed her help at home.
Since then, she has never sung a note, her confidence further eroded by a father who thinks she's a useless good for nothing " a regular Cinderella ".
