DEAL

by Eddy Terstall

synopsis

20-something students, Sarah and Midas, are just good friends, though he wishes there could be more between them. Then late one night in the bar where Sarah works, the conversation loosens, edging gradually into more daring territory with every flirtatious sip of their drinks. Tipsy and emboldened, she eventually challenges Midas: what would he pay to sleep with her? In the playful heat of the moment, wealthy Midas agrees to 2,000 euros. The next day, in spite of their shy and sober embarrassment, the two continue to hold their nerve. The deal is still on, taking them on an overnight trip to Barcelona where, on neutral ground, they can honour their commitment. During the next 24 hours, they will learn more about each other, and themselves, than they ever thought possible.
