LA DIGA

by Fulvio Bernasconi

synopsis

The inheritance of a house takes Elena back to the village where she was born, at the end of an alpine valley closed off by an imposing dam. She is accompanied by her lively 8-year-old daughter Georgia, who is very sensitive and intuitive. They immediately realise that the village inhabitants are trying to avoid them, but it is in fact the mysterious death of two men that compels the inhabitants to drive them away. Elena refuses to be intimidated and discovers that she had a sister, identical to Georgia, who drowned when the dam was being built.
