synopsis

Adapted from the novel by Philippe Besson, Rimbaud’s life after he was repatriated from Africa to Marseille, gravely ill and with an amputated leg. Forced to return in the summer of 1891 to his native Ardennes, which he loathed, the poet went back to the family farm and his sister Isabelle, who is torn between her love for her brother and her anger at the self-destructive man that he has become.
