I TRUST YOU

by Massimo Venier

synopsis

Alessandro is a small-time conman who dreams of a normal life. Francesco had a regular life, until his multinational corporation fired him. Unable to bring himself to tell his family, he leaves home each morning in a jacket and tie to search for a new job and give his life meaning. He fails at both tasks, but he does bump into Alessandro. Almost by accident, a strange form of teamwork develops, as the two begin swindling together, though they are direct opposites: Alessandro wants to go straight, while Francesco wants to become a crook. Alessandro is a scraggly, surreal prankster, while buttoned-up Francesco proceeds with an insane determination. They are always fighting, but ultimately each discovers something new, thanks to his accomplice...
