Mikel Rueda

Studied Audiovisual Communication at the Universidad de Navarra and Film Directing at the New York Film Academy with a scholarship from the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.

Among others, he has directed and produced the shorts El carrito (2003), Érase una vez (2004), In the Laundry (2006) and Present Perfect (2007), Best Screenplay Award at Bilbao Festival. He also formerly produced the ETB programme Vaya Semanita.

In 2008, he received a prize from the Spanish Ministry of Culture to develop the screenplay of the feature project A escondidas. Izarren argia is his first feature.
