Christian Schwochow

Christian Schwochow studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He garners attention in 2008 with his debut feature film, November Child, whose cast features several well-known actors and wins the Audience Award at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis. Schwochow’s two-part TV film The Tower (2012) wins the prestigious Adolf-Grimme-Preis. His second feature film, Cracks in the Shell (2011), receives several accolades. His most recent feature film, West (2013), wins the German Film Award for Best Actress. Later, Schwochow makes his debut as a theater director with Poison at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. The production is awarded with the Deutscher Theaterpreis Der Faust for Best Actress.
