Sony brings Emmerich to theatres with "zero impact"
Roland Emmerich’s 2012 will be the first film in Italy to be distributed through Impatto Zero®. Sony Pictures Releasing Italia has signed on to the environmental project of the LifeGate network, to reduce and compensate for carbon dioxide emissions generated by classic distribution and promotion methods.
The operation will allow for the compensation of over 45,000 kg of released carbon dioxide through the creation and protection of 21,680 square metres of forest in Costa Rica.
The film will be released in Italy on November 13.
