37th Ghent fest unveils line-up

by

There is no jealousy on either side of the linguistic border: while the 37th Ghent International Film Festival (October 12-23) has just announced its line-up.

Its highly eclectic selection will give Flemish audiences the chance to discover discerning films and exceptional avant-premieres.

The Ghent Festival is also unique in its emphasis on film music. Since 2001, it has hosted the World Soundtrack Awards, where honours include Best Composer of the Year, Best Original Soundtrack, Best Song, Best Discovery and the Audience Award. Moreover, there can be no music without a concert, so brilliant Brit composer John Barry (Goldfinger, Out of Africa, Barry Lyndon) will perform before Ghent audiences.
