The Austrian region of Salzkammergut will play host to the second leg of shooting on Die Wand ("The Wall"), the debut big-screen feature by established television director Julian Roman Pölsler. After the summer scenes, filmed between June 7 and September 12, the autumn and winter scenes will be shot between now and March.

Die Wand is co-produced by Vienna-based Coop 99 (known for its excellent auteur films) and Munich-based Starhaus Filmproduktion. It is adapted by the screenwriter-director from the best-seller by Austrian writer Marlen Haushofer (1920-1970), which is among the 50 most popular books in Germany and Austria, and has been translated into 17 languages.
