- Monsieur N. by Antoine de Caunes was selected for the next Berlinale. This historical thriller about Bonaparte, played by Philippe Torreton, is released in France next February

The news that French actor-director Antoine de Caunes second feature, Monsieur N. was selected for the next edition of the Berlin Film Festival (6-16 February 2003) generated plenty of coverage in the French media.
Even though the programme of the 53rd festival has yet to be announced, production company Loma Nash was so delighted that they decided to tell the world right away.
Monsieur N is an historical thriller about Napoleon Bonaparte (played by Philippe Torreton - Capitaine Conan), was made over 13 weeks this summer on location mainly in South Africa, and the international cast includes Richard E. Grant, Stephen Fry, Roschdy Zem and Elsa Zylberstein.
Monsieur N was co-produced by StudioCanal, France 3 Cinéma and Bac Films and the UK’s Future Production Group and has a score by Stephan Eicher. Monsieur N is scheduled for release in France on 12 February.
