The 18th Trickfilm International Animated Film Festival (May 3-8) kicks off tomorrow in Stuttgart. The event will award a total of €61,000 in prizes, including two new ones: the Lena Weiss Award, for the most humanistic animated film, and the Animated Com Award, which will reward two commercials, one for its quality as an advertisement, the other for its technological brilliance.

The festival, which continues to put the spotlight on the production of artistic animation and new talents, is a world-class event in the sector. Last year, it hosted 50,000 viewers and 2,000 accredited professionals.
