The Un Certain Regard of the 64th Cannes Film Festival was won ex-aequo by Arirang by South Korean director Kim Ki-Duk and German film Stopped On Track [+see also:

film profile] by Andreas Dresen. The latter, an acute and unrelenting film on the last months in the life of a man dying of an inoperable brain tumor (see article), is being sold internationally by The Match Factory.
The jury presided by Serbian director Emir Kusturica also gave the Special Jury Prize to Russian title Elena by Andrei Zvyagintsev, and a Directing Prize to Au revoir by Iran’s Mohammad Rasoulof.
