Scripted by Corsini and Benoît Graffin in collaboration with Lise Macheboeuf and Antoine Jaccoud, 3 Mondes centres on the encounter between three characters whose paths should never have crossed.

A fortunate young man called Al is about to marry his boss’ daughter and take over as head of his car dealership. The evening after his stag party a drunken Al drives drunk and knocks down a stranger. But egged on by his two childhood friends in the car with him, he doesn’t stop. Over the following days, he is haunted by his cowardly actions.

Meanwhile, a young woman named Juliette witnessed the accident from her balcony. At the hospital, she meets the victim’s wife, Vera, a Moldavian immigrant with no residency papers whom Juliette feels obliged to help.

3 Mondes is produced by Fabienne Vonier for Pyramide Productions for approximately €4.8m. The budget includes co-production support from France 3 Cinéma and pre-acquisitions from Canal + and Ciné+ (formerly known as CinéCinéma). Pyramide will also handle French distribution and international sales.
