Mario Barth prepares Der Paartherapeut
After the staggering success of his debut feature, Männersache [+see also:

film profile] (over 1.8m admissions in 2009), multiple award-winning German comedian Mario Barth, whose TV shows and programmes attract millions of viewers, is preparing his second film: Der Paartherapeut ("The Couple Therapist").
The script, which he is currently writing with his friend and fellow comedian Dieter Tappert, returns to his favourite subject: men, women and human relationships. The story is nonetheless told from a different angle with a particular focus on women, spurring female viewers to wonder how they are viewed by men.
Barth said that he and Tappert were having great fun writing the story and he hoped this would come through on screen.
Der Paartherapeut will be produced by Constantin. Shooting will not start before summer 2012, with a release slated for the start of the following year.
