Hobert and Keining are ready for a Yellow Affair

Swedish directors Richard Hobert's One Way to Antibes, which will open at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund mid-August, and Alexandra-Therese Keining's With Every Heartbeat, "this summer's gay romance", have been picked up for foreign distribution by The Yellow Affair, Scandinavia's youngest international sales agency.
Managing Director Miira Paasilinna has also added two Swedish documentaries, Michael Wenzer's At NightIFly, and Gabriella Bier's Love During Wartime, to the catalogue of her Stockholm-based company, which now offers 25 titles.
Scripted by Hobert as a tragi-comic family drama, starring Swedish actor-singer Sven-Bertil Taube, One Way to Antibes follows a widower who, with the help of his thieving home help, tries to prevent his children getting their hands on his assets. Hobert has worked in the theatre since Harry's Daughters (2005).
Penned by Keining, with Ruth Vega Fernández and Liv Mjönes in the leads (photo), With Every Heartbeat - which is slated for late July - is the story of Mia, who meets Frida when she is about to announce her engagement to Tim. They fall in love but the situation is complicated, since they are to become stepsisters.
Launched by Finnish production companies Visiorex, Helsinki Filmi and Yellow Film & TV, and later joined by Sweden's Anagram Produktion, The Yellow Affair began last year in Cannes, and participated in Toronto with a full line-up.
"We wanted to test a new type of busines model, working closely with the producers on their projects and films; what we are looking for are bold and edgy films, with a strong story, high production value and an appeal to an international audience," Paasilinna explained.
Her best-selling films so far have been Finnish director Dome Karukoski's Lapland Odyssey [+see also:

film profile], which went to 13. The Yellow Affair's new package will have its market premiere at the upcoming AFM.
