Shooting starts today, Monday, February 6, in Rome, on Paolo Virzì’s (photo) new film, entitled Tutti i santi giorni, starring Luca Marinelli (The Solitude of Prime Numbers [+see also:

film profile]) and Sicilian singer-songwriter Thony, in her film debut. Thony will also produce the film’s soundtrack.
"This time I would like to make a small, sweet and lighthearted film. Once again it is a comedy, I think, but with only a few, carefully selected ingredients, using a cast with a truthful flavour about them and a story in which the dramatic effects are kept to a minimum", the director explains.
Tutti i santi giorni is the story of Guido and Antonia, a young couple with opposite characters: he works nights as a hotel porter, she works days in a car-hire firm. The film tells the story of what happens to Guido and Antonia when they decide to have a child.
The film is produced by Motorino Amaranto and Rai Cinema in association with Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, and will be distributed by 01 Distribution.
