Nejc Gazvoda (photo), the director of A Trip, has started shooting his second feature Dual, a co-production between Slovenia, Denmark and Croatia.

The filming of Dual started on August 29 in Ljubljana and should last four weeks. Written by Gazvoda and Janez Lapajne (best known as director of 2006's Short Circuits, he also co-edited A Trip with Gazvoda) Dual is, in the director's own words, "a love story that revolves around the fact that whatever the circumstances in life, people always strive to make their love happen".

), which they cannot realize because of obstacles that life throws in their path.

Co-produced by Slovenia's Perfo Production (which also produced A Trip), Denmark's Beofilm and Croatia's Studio Dim, Dual has a budget of €908,166 and is expected to be completed in spring 2013.

A Trip had a budget of just €180,000 and went to more than 20 international film festivals, winning seven awards at the Festival of Slovenian Film in Portorose in 2011. It took a more-than-decent 15,000 admissions in Slovenia and was also distributed theatrically in Croatia.
