Power To The Pixel 2012: Cross-Media Forum programme announced

Aficionados of the future can rejoice at Power To The Pixel’s stellar line-up of speakers during the Cross-Media Forum conference in London on October 16. Sean Stewart, founder and head writer at Emmy winning Fourth Wall Studios (US) will deliver the keynote where he will look at how the changing relationship between author and audience is transforming the art, craft and business of storytelling.

Other speakers include Loc Dao of the National Film Board, Canada, who will provide a preview of their projects; Peter de Maegd of Caviar Films, Belgium, will give a glimpse into art-based television series and social online game The Spiral; Ingrid Kopp of the Tribeca Film Institute, US, will be explore how ‘maker culture’ affects social impact projects; Mahyad Tousi of BoomGen Studios, US, will present Operation Ajax, the interactive graphic novel, game and soon-to-be feature film in How to Cook a Cow; Cally Poplak and Tim Jones from Egmont Press, UK, will demonstrate their soon-to-be published multimedia app in ‘War Horse: From Page to Stage, Spielberg to Super-App’; Wendy Bernfeld from Rights Stuff, Netherlands, will talk about digital rights, platforms and evolving business models; Wayne Fletcher of McCann Erikson, US, will analyse audience motivations and needs in Attitudes, Behaviours and Storytelling; and Danish concept development practitioner Paul Tyler will be serving up ‘Say Cheese - how technology creates the stuff you need to feast on’.

The conference will conclude with the founder of the Workbook Project, Lance Weiler creating the world’s largest live collaborative story project called ‘Wish for the Future - Open Design Challenge’.
