MiBAC supports Sorrentino, Virzì and Rohrwacher’s next films

- Among the eleven projects selected by the Commission for cinematography of the Italian General Directorate for Cinema, were Sergio Rubini, Giulio Manfredonia and Gianni Zanasi’s next projects

Eleven feature length projects have been recognized of “cultural interest” by the Commission for cinematography of the Italian General Directorate for Cinema, known as MiBAC. Ten of these will also be receiving funding from the Italian government.

The only recognized film not to be allocated funds was Viva l'Italia by Massimiliano Bruno (coming out in Italy on October 25). The ten films receiving financial support are: La grande bellezza by Paolo Sorrentino (photo), who is receiving the largest amount in funding (€1.1 million), Il capitale umano by Paolo Virzì and Madre Terra by Giulio Manfredonia (each receiving €700,000), Quando nascesti te by Alice Rohrwacher (€600,000), Mi rifaccio vivo by Sergio Rubini and La felicità è un sistema complesso [+see also:
