Heidelberg to host European Film Funds
- The 2012 Cine-Regio Members’ Meeting focuses on ‘Green Shooting’
The city of Heidelberg (Germany) today (October 23) hosts the seventh annual meeting of the Cine-Regio members. The members will be hosted by the MFG Filmförderung Baden-Wüttemberg, an umbrella organization for European regional film sponsors that aims to support European film culture.
The 2012 edition of the meeting focuses on the interchange of information, the engagement with film politics and the sponsoring of co-productions. A new topic is also discussed: 'Green Shooting, ecological and sustainable production methods in the film sector'. Thanks to the participation of film-makers and experts on sustainability, the members will give answers in regards to the production of films with the aim of conserving resources, while remaining economically viable.
Melanie Dicks (photo) from Green Shoot UK will be the special guest of the meeting,sharing her experience on reducing the ecological footprint.
