Lionceau Films picks up IFCIC Prize

by

- The company headed by Hélène Cases has won the 2012 trophy for a young independent production company

This year, the Institute for Film and Cultural Industry Financing (IFCIC) has handed its ninth IFCIC Prize for a young independent production company to Lionceau Films, a company managed by Hélène Cases, who was already honoured this year as a Producer on the Move at the European Film Promotion.

After it was set up in 2007, Lionceau Films made a very notable start in feature film production with Alix Delaporte's Angel & Tony (photo - Critics' Week in Venice in 2010, 225,000 admissions in France, sold internationally in 25 territories, and 2012 Cesars for best male and female newcomers). The company, that now has Frédéric Proust's Les belles années (to star François Berléand, Patrick Chesnais, and Anne Consigny - distribution and international sales: Pyramide) in post-production, is to continue in 2013 with Alix Delaporte's Le dernier coup de marteau.
