Asian Side of the Doc warms up
- The 4th edition of the 4-day conference between key decision makers and producers from all over the world will be held in Kuala Lumpur between 19-22 March
Following Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur now welcomes you to the 4th Asian Side of the Doc (19-22 March 2013). More than 500 delegates are expected to attend to Asia’s premier documentary forum, including 140 decision-makers from Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa, Middle East, North and South America. Events include master classes, pitching sessions, screenings, docs in progress, new media, stories from Islam and special opportunities to engage the Malaysian documentary community.
Besides, following the success of the Tohoku Pitch at Asian Side of the Doc 2012, Asian Side of the Doc, FINAS and Crossing Borders will host the first National Malaysia Documentary Pitching Forum prior to the main event on the afternoon of 18th March. This will be an opportunity for a few selected Malaysian producers trained by Crossing Borders to pitch local documentary projects to an audience of international commissioning editors around the globe. Selected producers will go on to pitch their projects on behalf of Malaysia at Asian Side of the Doc.
