Presented in February at the last Berlin Film Festival, the film follows the life of Nono, 13 years old, who would like to become the best cop in the world, like his father. Unfortunately, he has a bad habit of getting into trouble. A few days before his Bar Mitzvah, his father sends him to his uncle, hoping he can put him back on the right track. But his path actually crosses that of Félix, a gentleman burglar and an old acquaintance of his father’s, who will take Nono down the road of his origins, where Nono will discover more about his mother, who disappeared when he was still a child. The story is based on the novel The Zigzag Kid by David Grossman, a well-known figure in Israeli literature. Produced by Bos Bros in the Netherlands, and Prime Time in Belgium, the film notably received funding from the VAF. It features Thomas Simon in his first role in a feature film, together with Isabella Rossellini.
