Web rooms return for Horizons films

by

- After an experimental launch last season, a virtual room will once more be created for 500 users during the 70th edition, managed by Festival Scope

After its experimental launch last year, a web room (“sala web”) will return for the films in the Horizons section at the upcoming Venice Film Festival (28 August-7 September).

A virtual room will be added to more traditional venues during this 70th edition geared towards films from the Horizons section. The web room will occupy a platform from which a maximum of 500 places will be available for viewers. Screenings will take place through streaming in the same timeframe as their official presentations in Venice.

This is a special opportunity for audiences around the world to be connected with the Venice Film Festival, to discover directors and films from the Horizons section. The section includes the most innovative aesthetic trends from global cinema, made by young as well as experienced directors who measure up to current genres and productions with the intent of creative originality.

There will be one screening only for each film through connection to a protected website operated by Festival Scope for the Venice Film Festival. MYmovies.it will be participating in the promotion of the event this year.

Tickets will be made available this coming August on the Biennale’s website. Screening will be made accessible after registration, ticket purchase (€4.20) and the receipt of a personal link which can only be used once. Each film (running in its original language with English subtitles) will be made available in the 24 hours, starting from 9pm, around the day of official presentation of the film in Venice.
