In slightly more than a month, charismatic Carmina Barrios, one of the great revelation of Spanish cinema in 2012, will return in front of the camera of her son, actor and director Paco León, for the feature film Carmina y amén. The shooting will take place in Seville from October 21 and will last a total of four weeks.

As explained by the film’s producers, this second film as a director “tries to explore the limits between comedy and drama through a very fictional language without losing the authenticity of the characters and situations.”

Barrios will be surrounded by María León and Paco Casaus, who are also part of the León-Barrios family, and trained actors.

The success of his first film enabled León to obtain backing from Telecinco Cinema and Canal+, which are producing with Andy Joke.
