- The initiative taking 250 short films all across France will be back on December 21

Le jour le plus Court is open for registration

Last year, over 2,000 people, including professional and amateur organizers, joined the event Le jour le plus Court, during which short films were shown all over France on the same day: December 21. About 10,000 screenings attracted over 2.5 million viewers. This year, the celebration of short films will return, on the very same date, and it’s hoping to increase its success.

The aim of Le jour le plus Court is to increase the visibility of short-films by organising a series of parallel events, including artistic and educational activities.

The initiative gives total freedom to the programmers: they can select any work (professional, amateur or self-produced) from a catalogue of 250 short films of all genre and duration. This catalogue is available for online streaming since October 15.

Le jour le plus Court also encourages participants to suggest original venues and ways to project the short films. Whether they are professional or amateur projectionists, they can choose any place (theatres, museums, libraries, schools, bars, restaurants, stations, airports, public squares, enterprises, hospital centres, penitentiaries…) for the showing.
