film profile] both received 14 nominations for the Robert awards, which the Danish Film Academy will announce at a January 26 ceremony in Copenhagen’s Tivoli Hotel & Congress Centre.

The Hunt is also leading the race for the Bodils –- Denmark’s other national film prize, given by the Danish Film Critics Association – with Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac [+see also:

film profile]. But von Trier’s production company, Zentropa Entertainments, has decided not to enter the film for the awards until the director’s original cut has been launched later this year. Part 1 will be world-premiered at the Berlinale.

film profile] (11 nominations). Depicting the friendship between two Danish eccentrics - Simon Spies, the king of charter holidays, and Mogens Glistrup, the controversial tax lawyer-turned-top politician - Boe’s film reached 330,000 admissions in local theatres.
