by Luca Miniero (read the news story) has taken top position in terms of box-office revenue over the 9-12 January period, with a total of €2.1 million made across 514 cinemas monitored by Cinetel. The comedy starring Paola Cortellesi and Rocco Papaleo is now coming close to grossing €9.3 million (9.254.186) overall, with an average per venue of €4,110.

 The best average per venue over the weekend was done by newcomer Il capitale umano by Paolo Virzì. The film by popular Livorno director who recently directed the Turin Film Festival, made €1.6 million in its first four days in 350 cinemas, for an average of €4,688 per venue.

by Carlo Vanzina, another new entry, took fifth position in rankings for the weekend (with €991,000 in 347 theatres), followed by Peppa, vacanze al sole e altre storie (€1.4 million in two days) and The Butler (€1 million). Completing the top 10 ranking were Frozen, Captain Harlock, American Hustle, Grudge Match and Disconnect. Overall box-office revenue topped €13 million over the weekend, falling by 30% compared to the previous weekend.
