JJ: love at first sight for a man and his GPS

Dependence on electronic gadgets is not just a child’s problem. Adults too can have an obsession, which sometimes transforms into fully-fledged love. Actor Borys Szyc, one of Poland’s great cinema stars delivers an eccentric performance in JJ (Dzej Dzej) by Maciej Pisarek, now out in Polish cinemas.
Jerzy (Borys Szyc) collects gadgets. Everything that is electronic is so appealing to him that new objects are given affection and names. New purchases are routine until the day he buys a GPS for his car. This event turns his life upside down because this gadget is not like any other: it reacts to his voice in a particularly sensuous way. Jerzy is guided by his GPS he calls Carmen (Justyna Sieniawska) and becomes emotionally involved with it. But his new relationship is not easy because his partner is increasingly demanding. She wants to be treated like a princess and asks Jerzy to follow him in her faraway journeys.
