11/06/2014 - For its fifth edition, the Euro-Mediterranean co-production forum is seeking to support young producers and directors with their projects, and organise meetings with industry experts in order to reinforce and distribute their films

The Apulia Film Commission Foundation, in collaboration with the Apulia Region, will realise the fifth edition of the Euro Mediterranean Coproduction Forum between Thursday 9^th and Saturday 11^th October 2014 in Taranto.

Production companies from any country can apply with a film project as long as it is in development (film projects at a shooting stage will not be accepted), contains elements in the plot linked to the Mediterranean area and at least 30% of the budget is secured.

The main criteria in the selection procedure will be the possibility of realisation, the artistic quality and the producer’s and director’s profiles.

The aim of the Euro Mediterranean Coproduction Forum is to support the film projects linked to the Mediterranean region, enhancing the meeting and partnership amongst the operators of the field, allowing the participants to work together within a Forum in order to discuss and present their projects with the opportunity of “testing them” in their development stage by coming into contact with potential co-financers.

In short, a precious verification which will help them in the further steps of production.

Meetings amongst producers, film commissioners and experts are going to be held, with the aim of fostering the co-production processes and an exchange of best practices in order to improve the operative modalities of the professionals involved in the Forum.
