- XXth Turin Film Festival presented in Cannes with John Milius, Julio Bressane, Gianni Amico, John Ford & lots of students

The Turin Film Festival (November 7-15, 2002) will work together with the Film Department of Turin University to encourage more students to come to this important film event. Steve Della Casa, who will direct his fourth consecutive festival gave an overview of this year's programme today at the Italian Pavilion in Cannes. There will be four retrospectives dedicated to John Milius, the director of Conan the Barbarian and Big Wednesday as well as the screenwriter of classics like Apocalypse now, Dirty Harry and Jeremiah Johnson; Brazilian director Julio Bressane; Italy's Gianni Amico who directed Tropici and was a long-time colleague of Rossellini, Bertolucci, Godard and Rocha, and John Ford's famous "sundown westerns", made between 1950 and 1960
