Kosovo Cinematography Center splits €700,000 among eight projects
- Grants include two minority co-productions and three projects in development
The Kosovo Cinematography Center (KCC) has announced the film projects it will fund in 2014. Two of these are Kosovan productions, one is a majority co-production and two are minority co-productions, and in addition, support will be given for three projects in development. The full amount to be awarded is €700,000, and exact details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Other projects to be funded include seven shorts, four documentaries and one animation.

film profile] by directors Iris Elezi and Thomas Logoreci, a co-production involving Albania, Kosovo and Italy, will premiere in the East of the West competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
Meanwhile, the shoot for another Kosovan film, The Father by Visar Morina, a co-production by Kosovo, Germany and Macedonia, has just wrapped. With a budget of €1.8 million, The Father is the most expensive film supported by the KCC so far.
