Registration is open to participate in the RIFF - Rome Independent Film Festival, the 14th edition of which will be held from 10 to 18 April 2015 at the Nuovo Cinema Aquila in Rome. The final deadline for submitting films is set at 15 December 2014.
Over 150 works will be selected for the competition (during the 2014 edition over two thousand films, files and DVDs from over 50 countries were sent in to the festival). There are 7 sections in competition: Feature Films (Italian and international feature films); New Frontiers (first feature); Documentary Films (Italian and international); Short Films (Italian and international); International Student Films (cinema schools); Animation (animation); Screenplays & Subject (screenplays and subjects).
New to the 2015 edition is the SOS contest (short online streaming), that will take place exclusively online in harmony with the festival. Dedicated to short movie directors, the contest will be hosted on the romefilmmarket.com portal: the most voted short film will win a contract for VOD (video on demand) distribution worth one thousand euro. All of the main films presented at the RIFF will, at the end of the festival, be visible in VOD mode on the romefilmmarket.com portal.
At the end of the festival, thanks to the contribution of MiBACT and of the Lazio Region, the RIFF Awards will be granted, with a value of over 50,000 euro. All information about registration and the deadline for registration is available on the site www.riff.it.
