The film is produced by Ewa Piaskowska of Poland’s Skopia Film and co-produced by Andrew Lowe and Ed Guiney of Ireland’s Element Pictures, with backing from the Irish Film Board. Element Pictures Distribution will release the film in Ireland.

Element Pictures also announced that they have acquired film and television rights to Laird Hunt’s acclaimed novel Neverhome, with Lenny Abrahamson (Frank [+see also:

) to direct and Guiney producing. Neverhome is the story of Ash Thompson who leaves her husband to fight as a Union soldier in the American Civil War.

Abrahamson said, “Laird has written a truly amazing novel and created in Ash a character so vivid and original. I could not be more excited about making this film.”

, based on Emma Donoghue’s Booker shortlisted novel that tells the story of a five year old boy held captive in a room along with his mother. Guiney produces for Element.
