- The renowned director of the Berlin Film Festival has had his mandate renewed for five more years
The German Minister for Culture and the Media, Monika Grütters, has extended Dieter Kosslick’s mandate as the director of the Berlin Film Festival for five more years, until 31 May 2019.
Kosslick was appointed as head of the great German film gathering in May 2001. He was the person who added the EFM (European Film Market) onto the event, which is now an unmissable meeting place for the international film industry.
Dieter Kosslick declared that he was “very pleased to be contributing to the event for another five years”.
