film profile] by Jayro Bustamante, presented in competition at the 65th Berlin Film Festival, will be released in Italian theatres, courtesy of Parthénos and Lucky Red.
Hailed as one of the biggest revelations of the Berlinale, and enjoying an enthusiastic welcome from both the audience and the critics, the film, co-produced by French outfit Tu Vas Voir, is set in Guatemala, at the heart of a Mayan community: a world immersed in the untamed wilderness, and teetering between ancestral beliefs and distant echoes of the modern world.
