by Italian director Paolo Sorrentino, co-produced by Anne Walser of C-Films, which will be screened as part of the prestigious International Competition, whilst Amnesia by Barbet Schroeder, produced by Ruth Waldburger of Swiss production company Vega Film, will have its worldwide premiere as part of the Special Screenings official selection.

Turning to the parallel sections, Romande-born Joëlle Bertossa of Close Up Films, along with Elena Tatti and Elodie Brunner of Box Productions will be in attendance with two co-productions in the prestigious Directors’ Fortnight: In the Shadow of Women [+see also:

by Portuguese director Miguel Gomes. Representing Switzerland in the ACID (Association for Independent Cinema and its Distribution) parallel section will be Agnieszka Ramu from Romande-based production company Bande à part Films with Franco-Swiss co-production Vanity by Lionel Baier, and by Joëlle Bertossa of Close Up Films with the debut film of Portuguese director João Plácido, Volta à terra, currently being screened in the Regard Neuf section of the Visions du Réel Festival in Nyon. 

Aline Schmid of Intermezzo Films in Geneva was selected, at the recommendation of SWISS FILMS, as the Swiss representative for Producers on the Move 2015. Broken Land [+see also:

(by Stéphanie Barbey and Luc Peter) which she co-produced, was successfully screened at the Locarno International Film Festival and at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam. Her two latest productions, Horizontes (Eileen Hofer) and Gangbé! (Arnaud Robert) are currently being premiered at the Visions du Réel Festival in Nyon in the Regard Neuf section and the International Medium-Length Films section.
