Apulia FC: with more profitable audiovisual tax credits

"External tax credits – a tax benefit for companies wishing to invest in culture” was the title of the workshop for industry operators that was held on Saturday 1 August in Castro (Lecce), as part of the Castrum Minervae prize, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Apulia Film Commission, Confindustria Puglia, Distretto Produttivo Puglia Creativa, Puglia Sviluppo, ANICA and 100 writers.

"Tax credits and regional funds are way ahead of direct State intervention where audiovisual production is concerned. That’s why the reflection that comes with the Castrum Minervae prize is so useful right now. As seen in recent days by the classifications of the Apulia Film Commission, regional funds have a huge impact locally”, said the President of the Apulia F.C., director Maurizio Sciarra.

"An investment of €1.4 million equates to spending on the ground of over €7 million, 436 jobs for local professionals and 332 days of work overall. Reshaping tax credits and opening a new regional branch managed in conjunction with business associations in Italy can stabilise the audiovisual sector in Apulia and confirm this industry as the most profitable and innovative of a region which is coming up in the world”.
