Bergman’s Saraband

Svensk Filmindustri AB was at the centre of industry attention despite having presented a small number of films at this year’s Market. The Swedish sales slate hold the rights to Saraband [+see also:

, where we will find out what happened to the characters Ingmar Bergman created 32 years ago in his celebrated Scenes From A Marriage, played by Liv Ullmann and Erland Josephson.
Saraband was produced by SVT/Fiction in association with Svensk Filmindustri, ZDF, Arte, NRK, RAI and YLE, and Sony Pictures Classics bought the north American and Australian rights to this eagerly awaited title two months ago. Bergman's film was made for television but it will also be distributed theatrically in the UK by Metro Tartan, Greece by Rosebud, Argentina by Cine3 and Brazil by Art Films.
The Swedish company’s slate also includes Market screenings of Colin Nutley’s Paradise and Norwegian Unni Straume’s Music for Weddings and Funerals.
