Written by Julia Roy, who based the screenplay loosely on the novel The Body Artist by famous US author Don DeLillo (Cosmopolis), the story revolves around Rey, a filmmaker. During a retrospective being dedicated to him in a museum, he sees a performance by a young woman. He follows her after coming out of the museum. She is called Laura and is younger than him. They fall in love and soon get married, and they start living in a huge secluded house by the seaside. After a few months, Rey dies in a motorbike accident and Laura finds herself alone in the house...

Produced by Paolo Branco for Alfama Films (which will manage distribution in France and international sales), Never Ever is being co-produced by Portuguese outfit Leopardo Filmes. The DoP is Julien Hirsch (winner of the César Award in 2007 for Lady Chatterley [+see also:
