Film Fund Luxembourg supports 14 new audiovisual projects

At its latest meeting (25-28 April), the selection committee of the Film Fund Luxembourg, the country’s fund for audiovisual aid, agreed to support 14 new audiovisual projects, for a total amount of €8,097,084. Twenty-two projects had initially been submitted, requiring aid of €12,612,523.

The audiovisual projects at the writing or development stages supported for a total amount of €240,000 include Pol Cruchten’s L’ascension (Red Lion – €30,000); Julien Becker’s Le Méridien de l'Aube (Skilllab – €30,000); Kid Paddle, written by Jean-Luc Cano, David Soussan and Kev Adams (no director attached yet, but being produced by Bidibul Productions – €60,000); Cédric Babouche’s animated series Houdini (Doghouse Films – €30,000); the TV series Lorelei (Iris Productions – €30,000); Neil Boyle and Kirk Hendry’s animated feature Kensuke’s Kingdom (Mélusine Productions – €30,000); and the animated feature Apple Pie Lullaby (Paul Thiltges Distributions – €30,000).

The audiovisual projects supported as part of the selective aid for production will share a total amount of €7,857,084. The list includes Félix Koch’s Superjhemp & Fils (Samsa Film – €2,564,998), Augusto Zanovello’s animated series Drôles de petites bêtes (Doghouse Films – €1,800,000), Christian Schwochow’s TV series Credo (Iris Productions – €1,800,000), Sameh Zoabi’s feature Tel Aviv Is on Fire (Samsa Film – €908,000), Willy Perelsztejn’s documentary Ashcan [+see also:

(Nowhere Land Productions – €420,000), Anne Schroeder’s documentary Histoire de femmes (Samsa Film – €242,321) and Mikael Muhlen’s animated short Glow (Radar – €121,765).

The next meeting of the selection committee is scheduled for late July.
