Chaired by Elli Medeiros and including Roxane Mesquida, Jonathan Nossiter, Mickael Hers and Oxmo Puccino, the feature film competition jury of the fifth Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival bestowed its Grand Prize upon Hedi [+see also:

by Mohamed Ben Attia, adding to its haul of two award from the Berlinale (the Silver Bear for Best Actor and the Award for Best First Feature Film). Hedi was a French (Tanit Films), Tunisian and Belgian (Les Films du Fleuve) co-production made with funding from the CNC through their World Cinema Support programme during the completion stage. Sold internationally by Parisian outfit Luxbox, the film has, today, been released in Belgium via Imagine Film and will be distributed in France from 28 December by Bac Films.
