A filmmaking celebration

The city of Cologne hosted the 13th edition of the prestigious Kamerapreis, a celebration of the often underestimated arts of cinematography and film editing whose artistic director is Heinz-Joachim.
Before an audience of some of the Teutonic film industry's most important figures, the following DPs were presented with the Kamerapreis: Judith Kaufman for Scherbentanz, Jürgen Carle for the TV film Tatort:1000 Tode, Mathias Fleishcer for Vida! Fragmento de un recuerdo, Peter Hoffman for a TV news report called Der Katalog and Sophie Mantigneux for a documentary entitled Damen und Herren ab 65.
The following film editors also won: Ingo Erlich for Ein Leben lang kurze Hosen tragen), Joel Ström for Iche und mein Ding; Herlinde Koelbl fotografiert ihren Fotoapparat and Isabelle Allgeier for a docuentary entitled Martin Walser- Eine Deutschlandreise).
Tilman Büttner the cinematographer on Alexandre Sokurov's Russian Ark [+see also:

received a special mention while industry veteran, Franz Rath was presented with an honorary Kamerapreis for his work for some 90 celebrated directors including Margarethe Von Trotta and Volker Schlöndorff.
